Guidance notes on terms used in the submission form

Referral id:  A unique identifier for the lead, which you can use to track progress against the lead.  If no id is entered, one will be created for you.

Loft insulation:  250/270mm using glass fibre wool, laid on the floor of the loft.   Loft must be cleared of any stored items and of wasps nests to perform the installation.    Pipes,  tanks and hatches will be insulated to avoid freezing.     If the loft is boarded, insulation will be laid on top of boarding. more

Cavity wall insulation:  Using white wool (glass fibre blown between the inner and outer walls).  more

Solar water heating:  Vacuum tubes or flat panels.  

Thermostatic Radiator Valves:   Replacing old radiator valves with thermostatic ones that  allow a more effective control of heating across the home.

SAP Energy Efficiency Survey:  Standard energy survey, soon to be compulsory for all homes offered for sale or rental.
